Wasco Nursery & Garden Center (“Wasco Nursery,” “we,” “us”) operates wasconursery.com. We are a family-owned garden center at 41W781 IL Route 64, St. Charles, IL 60175. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Messages and quote requests. When you use our contact form, landscape design request, tree planting request, or wishlist quote form, we receive what you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, your message, and any photos you attach. We use it to answer you and prepare your quote.
- Account information. If you create an account (for example to save plants to a wishlist), we store your email address, name, and the plants you save.
- Email sign-ups. If you join our email list (the V.I.G. Club), we store your email address with our email provider, Mailchimp, and use it to send the tips and offers you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Payments. When you pay a fee through this site (such as a landscape design fee or trip charge), payment is processed securely by Authorize.Net. Your card number goes to the payment processor, not to our servers, and we never store it.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used — pages visited, general location (city level), and how you found us. This helps us improve the site.
- Advertising. We use Google Ads conversion tracking, which uses cookies to tell us when an ad leads to a call, form, or visit to the site. Google may also use cookies to show our ads to previous site visitors.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare (our security/performance service) keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site fast and secure.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for three things: keeping you logged in and remembering your wishlist (functional), measuring site usage (analytics), and measuring our advertising (see above). You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can control Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Blocking functional cookies may make features like the wishlist unavailable.
Embedded content
Some pages embed content from other services — YouTube videos, Google Maps, and our JotForm contact form. When you view a page with embedded content, that service may set its own cookies and collect usage data as if you had visited it directly, under its own privacy policy.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; this site is intended for adults shopping for their homes and gardens.
Who we share information with
Only the service providers that make the site work: Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, Maps, YouTube), JotForm (contact form), Mailchimp (email list), Authorize.Net (payments), and our website hosting and security providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep information
Messages and quote requests are kept as long as we need them to serve you. Account information is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete either at any time.
Your choices
- See, correct, or delete your information: call or text 630-584-4424, or use our contact page, and we will take care of it.
- Unsubscribe from emails: use the link at the bottom of any email.
- Delete your account: ask us and we will remove it along with your saved wishlist.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
